The Un-gaffe-able Hillary Clinton

Sharing

What a troublesome election season. My wife and I have argued for days … over which one of us first blurted out that Clinton’s statement about Mosul, Iraq, in the final presidential debate, was flat-out wrong.

Geographically. Map-wise.

Iraqi and Kurdish troops (with U.S. “advisors” and air cover) have set out to re-take Iraq’s second-largest city, under Islamic State control since June 2014. So both presidential candidates were questioned about it.

“What’s really important here is to understand all the interplay,” stated the former Secretary of State, authoritatively. “Mosul is a Sunni city. Mosul is on the border of Syria.”

The problem for Sec. Clinton?

Mosul is not on the Syrian border.

Syria is 100 miles to the west; Turkey, 75 miles north. Mosul is actually closer to the border of Turkey than Syria.

“It going to be tough fighting, but I think we can take back Mosul and then move on into Syria and take back Raqqa,” Mrs. Clinton asserted. “This is what we have to do.”

Really?

“Mrs. Clinton’s comments were uttered in the context of her strategic plan to take on ISIS,” explains Justin Raimondo of Antiwar.com. “If she really thinks that taking Mosul will somehow provide a gateway to ‘press into Syria,’ then she is in for a big surprise.”

Over at Reason.org, Anthony Fisher found that “Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy gaffe at Wednesday’s debate was noticed by almost no one in the mainstream political commentariat.”

Libertarian Gary Johnson of “What is Aleppo?” fame sure noticed, dubbing the massive coverage of his gaffe and the complete non-coverage of hers “a very hypocritical double standard.”

(Psst — they want her to win.)

This is Common Sense. I’m Paul Jacob.

Wanting her to win by many in the press is getting too apparent.I feel sure the original unspoken agreement was to appear to remain balanced and objective but they have blown their cover. Bigtime!

How about her Al Smith dinner comment about the people on the “di-as,” instead of “da-is?” Long a is the proper one! Remember how the media would dwell on any mispronunciation by George W. Bush?
She clearly has had and still does have a pass on her lies and everything else to do with her. Ask ourselves why God would allow her to be in the leadership post? Think about the almost 60 million unborn and partially born babies killed since 1973 – He is still in control, and America and her people will have another wakeup call, when she is elected.

That face on Mrs. Clinton in your graphic, is the face I will wear for the next four years. She is a horror! Until the Wikileaks emails came out I thought she was a tolerable liar & cheat. But their email dump truly depicts how devious & despicable even Machiavellian she is.

I don’t understand why people think she can fix anything. She’s been in government for over 35 years & got nothing done. What will change other then she will have satisfied her power lust?

I don’t understand the legitimacy of saying HRC has been in government for over thirty five years. I count twelve — eight years as a US senator and four as Secretary of State. Since when does being first lady count as being ‘in government’? What authority does a first lady (of Arkansas or US) have? You could say she’s been involved in politics for thirty-five years, but government?

My guess is that most of the MSM is as uninformed as Hillary Clinton regarding the cities of the Middle East. How could they comment on a gaffe they didn’t recognize? Most of those covering the debate are immersed in the day to day campaign. They have no time for such trivialities as foreign policy or geography.
