Weird & Wacky

Have you noticed how weird politics has gotten?

I don’t mean government spying on us or never-ending wars or crony capitalism or rights violations or mounting trillions in debt or new, innovative forms of waste, fraud and abuse.

I’m just talking about the presidential horse race.

The Donald is way out front on the Republican side. Trump is … interesting: rude-to-obnoxious, but definitely not a mealy-mouthed, play-it-by-the-focus-group politician. Still, his weakness may be all the “business” he’s done with politicians, taking advantage of eminent domain and other purchased governmental powers.

I’m glad to see Carly Fiorina moving up. If 2016 is going to be the year American voters choose a woman to be president — and why not? — please let it be Carly Fiorina.

The other woman running is … let me check my notes … oh, yes, Hillary Clinton. After weeks of campaigning in a style that I think can best be described as “going underground,” she went on vacation.

But she can’t stay in hiding forever. (Can she?)

Democrats are getting so nervous that they’re talking — seriously — about a Joe Biden candidacy.

Why Biden? Having spent the last 43 years wielding power in Washington, will he be packaged as an outsider?

“The short answer is Clinton may be in real legal trouble,” writes conservative Jennifer Rubin. “The longer answer is that the Democrats need to make this election about the Republicans. With Clinton, that is impossible.”

Yes, the Democrats are more popular when the public is thinking about Republicans. And vice versa.

This is Common Sense. I’m Paul Jacob.

If one feels compelled to vote, then please vote for the Libertarian Candidate. Usually they are principled people who are running to educate and inform. Their chances of “winning” are very slim, and they know it. Far from a Wasted Vote, rather the higher the per centage for the Libertarian Party, the stronger the signal it sends to the Trumps, Clintons et al that not all the people are impressed and fooled by their statist positions and rhetoric.

Yes, Lynn, as Paul says, well stated. However, no Libertarian has ever had the financial backing & punch to get elected. And as long as the electoral college still exists, it won’t happen. The electoral college must go in order for real change to be enacted in this country. Technically, I can vote for Republican, Green, Libertarian, write in, in CA, but my vote won’t count because this state is wildly Democrat so all the votes go to the Dem nominee.

.… The Electoral College must go in order for real change to be effected .…

Had the Electoral College not been the Constitutional Law of the land, Al-Fredo Gore-leone would have actually stolen the 2000 election, instead of having just given its theft a close run.

And was it to go there would never be another Republican elected — let alone a conservative — and nor a libertarian — as the already-entirely-corrupted states that most of the 6.8 million criminal-alien voters besquat and bemanure, would corruptly award a “win” in every election to the “Democrat.”

As they did, twice, to Sayyid-Haji Soetoro.

‘…the higher the percentage for the Libertarian Party, the stronger the signal it sends to the Trumps, Clintons et al that not all the people are impressed and fooled by their statist positions and rhetoric.’
Would that that were true. The establishment politicians won’t be impressed by the percentage of the Libertarian vote unless and until the Libertarians actually win an election. And even if that happened on the presidential level, it won’t mean a thing if they don’t also win a substantial number of seats in both houses of Congress. Otherwise, members of Congress will go about their business as usual. Nothing will change.

More people are becoming aware.. Other than disappear what alternatives are there except continue to educate and set the best example we can for Non aggression..

It seems to me that the Clintons have always been Teflon. With Hillary’s deep rooted political connections that reach into every branch of government, nothing will come of these investigations. She has the name value to the Democrats & she will be the nominee.

I would love to see a Carly Florina candidacy, but I think it’s a long shot. Trump gets all the headlines because he is so brash & off book, without handlers. Many find that charisma refreshing. But when the ether dissipates, I don’t think he’s got the “legs” to make it to the candidacy. I don’t have any idea who’ll make it to the Republican nominee. just hope it is not Jeb Bush, with the largest war chest. If it is Bush, we will be hailing President Clinton.

.… Missus Cli’ton may be in real legal trouble .…

Which might very well qualify as the understatement of the decade where it to refers to a prima facie recidivist, serially-treasonous, lying, looting, thieving, predatory, perjurious, perjury-suborning, civil-rights-denying, co-serially-raping career racketeer, who is currently under criminal investigation by the FBI and likely others.

Which — speak of the Devil! — It does!

“The short answer is Clinton may be in real legal trouble,” writes conservative Jennifer Rubin.’ Real legal trouble? Let me know when the indictments are issued. I’ll believe it when I see it.

I’d like to see Trump come in first and name Carson as his VP because he is so easy going but foceful, and then put Carly into a useful position in the cabinet. No politics with any of the three, all three are very intelligent and none of them owes anything to anyone and they can not be bought. I believe they just want to do away with what Obama has done to this country.
