What Doesn’t Fly

After the Orlando massacre, isn’t it finally time to get guns out of the hands of … licensed security guards?

Omar Mir Seddique Mateen, who murdered 49 people and wounded 53 others in the Pulse nightclub, worked for the globe’s largest security firm, Britain’s G4S. He passed two background checks conducted by the company, and his government credentials included “a Florida state-issued security guard license and a security guard firearms license.”

Not to mention that Omar Mateen was twice investigated by the FBI — in 2013 and again in 2014 — and cleared by the agency both times. Though on the terrorist watch list for a while, he was removed from that list after the FBI closed its investigations.

So we need more and tougher background checks? Must the FBI check every gun purchaser three times, is that the charm?

Even if the Feds blocked gun sales to those on the terrorist watch list and the “no-fly” list, it wouldn’t have affected Mateen, for he wasn’t on these lists when he purchased his Sig MCX.

Nevertheless, Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy led a 14-hour filibuster to bring attention to his gun control legislation … that wouldn’t have stopped the Orlando massacre … or the shooting in Newtown.

“I will be meeting with the NRA, who has endorsed me,” tweeted Donald Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, “about not allowing people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns.”

If our government ever uses a secret list developed by security agencies to deny citizens their rights, without due legal process, without innocence until proven guilty, we will sorely need our Second Amendment rights.

This is Common Sense. I’m Paul Jacob.

When a member of a protected class kills a number of members of another protected class, you might believe it would leave the left in a quandary. But, you’d be wrong! They merely see it as an opportunity to divert attention from the actual problem, by pushing for the number one item on their agenda; their effort to disarm and subserviate the American public.

No thank you! I DO trust my government will be more invasive, controlling and potentially harmfuf if its restrictions on citizens rights are strenthened and allowed to be more arbitrary. I DO NOT trust that government will be any more effective or efficient in keeping me and mine secure

Again there are more anomalies to the Orlando shooting than Carter has pills. The main purpose of what appears to be an act or production of state terror is fear in and control of the general public… including addl civil liberties suppression. https://fellowshipoftheminds.com/2016/06/16/orlando-gay-club-shooter-is-also-an-actor/

One of the criterian which will be used by the gun-control fanatics IF WE LET THEM will be to deny law-abiding American citizens access to guns if they have criticized OUR government on social media!  The Democrats are proving once again they CANNOT be trusted to pass any form of legislation which won’t undermine the rights guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution!  The irony is, all but 2 of the Democrats who ranted and raved about the dangers of guns being in the hands of the American people have F’s and F-‘s on immigration issues, which means they consistently vote in favor of foreigners and illegal aliens instead of supporting Americans and American workers!  We need to clean out Congress of the traitors who are NOT representing us, and instead are representing the interests of the New World Order corporatists like George Soros!

If you are interested in personal liberty please re-evaluate the draconian police state you are suggesting be developed (further) to use against immigrants. and drop the typical comeback that asserts you are only against “illegal“l immigrants as all of the restrictionists groups are clear about wanting to give the State the power to limit all immigration. Trump is actually the worst when it comes to developing a police state. Fact: Hillary is against immigration in practice, just not in rhetoric and Obama has deported more immigrants than other presidents. Stop reading the Tanton groups(FAIR, CIS and NumbersUSA etc) drivel and study the issue from the libertarian perspective if you desire to uphold the principles of individual liberty.

If our government ever uses a secret list developed by security agencies to deny citizens their rights, without due legal process, without innocence until proven guilty, we will sorely need our Second Amendment rights.

Er … that’s already happening. Human beings have the right to travel freely, which the “no-fly” list severely impedes without any due process whatever. But yes, if government criminals try to apply the same list to guns, then there will be an even more urgent need for those guns to be put to good use.

I’ve always said that government, any government will always come up with an explanation that makes them look the least guilty when they royally screw up. This is one of those times. If they has done ANY SERIOUS RESEARCH on this individual at all then they would have known not to give him a security badge or a license to carry a gun. They obviously didn’t. So they had to find a way to take some of the blame off of themselves and blaming the gun was the answer.
