Misattributed to Homer, The Odyssey, but actually a gloss on Homer by W. B. Stanford, Homer: Odyssey XIII–XXIV (Introduction, p. xciv), Macmillan Classical Texts (1962). Arguably, this is a worthless quotation. Oops.

Curious as to what the original Greek were, I checked … and found that Book VII ends with verse 347.
I infer a transcription error in the number of the book or of the verse.
Book 8. Just delete my comments and correct the entry.
